Have you ever found yourself in a situation where your only choice is a deal with a devil? For a child afraid of the darkness who found that darkness was his only salvation, that deal was his way out.
He remembers it all, that pain, the snow in that day, the coldness... but also that man, how he saved him, how he got a new home.
Now he only had one goal, to keep those that he cared about safe, because now the darkness wasn't as threatning as the loneliness that threatened to overtake him.
