Sa'eyra te Tayrangi is born as the daughter of Ikeyni, a respected Tsahìk who once stood with Jake Sully and Neytiri against the Sky People. From childhood, Sa'eyra is marked as the next Tsahìk, raised under strict spiritual law and expectations she never chose. While she is trained in ritual and discipline, her heart drifts beyond Tayrangi borders. As a child, Sa'eyra secretly wanders into Omatikaya land, forming close bonds with Neteyam, Lo'ak, Kiri, and Spider. Those stolen moments of freedom shape her more than ceremony ever does. As she grows older, the weight of her destined role presses harder, forcing her to abandon her childhood ties and behave as the future Tsahìk she is meant to be, even as doubt grows inside her. During the day she attempts to bond with her ikran, Sa'eyra is pulled off course into the Omatikaya rainforest. While searching for her lost ikran, she is nearly killed by an arrow meant for an intruder, until Neteyam recognizes her as his childhood friend. Their reunion is cut short when Sky People forces appear, hunting Jake Sully. With no safe way home, Sa'eyra follows the Sullys to their refuge among the Metkayina. What begins as survival becomes a new life. Sa'eyra fights alongside forest and sea clans through years of war, growing from a reluctant heir into a capable warrior and leader. Her bond with Neteyam deepens slowly, shaped by shared loss, restraint, and responsibility. They mate after years of choosing each other, not out of prophecy but trust, and raise children in a world still scarred by conflict. Sa'eyra does not abandon Tayrangi forever. She returns to face her mother and her past, openly declaring her chosen life, her mate, and her children. With Ikeyni's blessing, Sa'eyra becomes Tsahìk not bound to a single clan, but one who moves between forest and sea, carrying Eywa's voice where it is needed most. Her life is not the path laid before her, but the one she fought to create.

Quinn Taylor has made a career out of looking calm. On the ice, she's America's favorite kind of pressure-proof-bright smile, steady answers, the skater everyone wants to root for. Off the ice, she's an only child with a perfectionist's brain and a habit of carrying too much alone. The cameras love her. The country expects her. And the one place she can't afford to fall apart is the one place she's dreamed of since she was little. The Olympics. Macklin Celebrini has always made things feel lighter. He was the new kid at a Northern California rink at twelve-Canadian, polite, a little lost-until Quinn decided he was hers to keep. He became her best friend in the cold air and early mornings, the person who could make her laugh mid-breakdown and never ask her to perform for him. Then life did what life does: seasons changed, schedules got brutal, distance widened, and the kind of friendship that felt unbreakable turned into occasional texts and quiet missing. Now they're both back where the world is loudest. At the 2026 Milan-Cortina Winter Olympics, Quinn is chasing the skate of her life for Team USA. Mack is carrying his own weight for Team Canada hockey. When reporters find out they grew up together, the story writes itself-childhood friends reunited, smiles caught on camera, a thousand strangers deciding what they are to each other. The only problem is... the strangers aren't entirely wrong. Between past chapters at a small California rink and present days in the Olympic Village, Quinn and Mack have to figure out what they really meant to each other then-and what they're allowed to be now, with medals on the line and the whole world watching. Because it's one thing to love someone quietly from a distance. It's another to have them show up in your life again and make everything feel possible.
