Scales of Vengeance

In the ruined world that Scarlett had grown up in, death was a constant factor, and loss was a common word. Dragons, Death-Stalkers, and Crimson Riders were all carriers of death. Their names leaving a trail of fear wherever they went. Scarlett was forced to watch as the life drained from her family's eyes, before she was forced from the house, just as fire rained down on her beloved town.

Death-Stalker's- named for the cold, insidious way they hunted their prey. A single graze, let alone a grip on her arm should have killed her, just like it had done to her family mere moments ago. She waited, pleaded for her end to come, but it never did.

Scarlett knew something was wrong, because no one had ever survived the touch from one of them. Yet, here she was, alive; and full of vengeance. Breath continued to fill her lungs and life went on, only this time, it was empty and barren. The once colorful meaning life bared had turned black; dark. Second chances weren't something handed out, and she knew she would have to make the most of hers.

Armed with rage and revenge coursing through her veins, Scarlett knew nothing could come between her and justice. A Reckoning was coming, one filled with death and blood. One that had her name written all over it. She would avenge her family, by reaping the life of the ones who took theirs.
