The arrogant king

A king with a burning hatred for nearly everyone around him.

A girl with a temper, but kindness the world didn't offer her back.

What happens when the king and the girl cross paths? When her smart mouth almost drags her in more trouble she can handle?

"Watch your tone with me" he snaps,

"You may be royal, but don't think for a second I'll allow myself to be disrespected" I snap back,

He stands from his throne, and slowly steps towards me. Each step ricocheing off the walls in the empty ballroom like bullets shot from a gun. Warnings that I bluntly ignore.

I hold my head high and stand my ground. My resolve nearly crumbles beneath my feet when he steps in front of me, and grips my jaw. Forcing me to look up into his cold stare.

"It would be in your best interest to fix your attitude"

I open my mouth to respond before he squeezes my jaw, and lowers his head to my ear.

"If your next words aren't I will, then I'll show you exactly what it's like to really hate me tesero" he whispers darkly.

The logical answer should've been I will, but his scent clouds my mind, and his words tempt my soul. Making my anger skyrocket.

If I have to harbour these wretched feelings, than he must pay for this burden. So that's why my next words, like a match to a gasoline filled room spark nothing but chaos.

"I already despise you. King." I spit king with such harshness, that I can tell his patience is now long gone. Especially by the way he clenches his jaw, and begins to move his hand to the base of my throat.

I just sealed my doom.
