"When this is over," Taehyung said suddenly, quieter now, "promise me something."
Jimin frowned. "Over? What is?"
Taehyung looked past him, toward the window, toward the palace towers rising like pale ghosts in the mist.
"All of this."
Jimin hesitated, then nodded. "What do you want me to promise?"
Taehyung turned back, his expression unguarded, almost boyish. "Promise you'll remember who we were. Before titles. Before orders."
