Jakub is a 14-year-old farmboy, living with his mother and sister in their old husk of a house. Life's not easy, but they have everything they need. Jakub longs to see the world, the mythical creatures at the edges of the world that exude beauty, know the universe, or tear apart entire cities with their wrath.
But one stormy night, a beautiful girl falls from the sky, with hair as white as clouds and eyes as blue as the ocean. Mute, the girl cannot tell them her name, and she earns the title Raniee. The mysterious girl becomes a part of Jakub's family, even though she has... interesting quirks.
Raniee has a dark secret, however, and Jakub will be thrust into the world of mythical creatures, magical powers and a horrible war that threatens to tear the Sky World apart. Jakub and his friend must battle their way to restoring the strength of the Sky World and the world underneath, or everyone is doomed.
Because Raniee is a Urun'dærik- a Sky Dweller.
