Glinda Harrington was named after her birth mother's favorite character, in her favorite book series. She could never be too angry with her mother over this because her mother had died approximately 8 minutes and 11 seconds after placing her at the front door of Glinda's biological father. The Harrington patriarch had wanted to send her away, he didn't like children, even the one he had inside of his marriage. But his wife, who had no relation to the little baby girl left at the door, wanted so badly to keep her. So he gave in, but never acknowledged inside the house that Glinda was his daughter. To him she was something that could make his wife happy while he went on business trips and had his many affairs.
