The Wind Chill Effect

Bad accidents happen on this road around the same time every year. Some say, "It's an amazing view of the valley" but in the dead of winter it's just a valley made of a shade darker than pitch. When Polo Benavent needs a ride home from college during the holiday break he checks the ride board. Only one person is going his way and it's someone he doesn't know. Guzman Nunier, with a clunky old car, a trunk full of stuff because he's getting kicked out of his apartment, and a love for philosophy soon turns out to have a bit of an obsession with Polo.
When they both wind up stranded in a snow drift just before Christmas Polo must decide if the most dangerous thing is inside the car or out there in the chill of scenic 606 and try to make it to sunrise.
