I ran not because I was afraid I'd get bitten- that had already happened, I ran as fast as I could into the horde of Walkers because Daryl was reloading his crossbow. If I didn't give the Undead something to chase after they would definitely go after him and if they managed to catch him it was game over.

Evelyn Mela has only known two things; the inside of the CDC and how to survive. When the CDC gives her a life outside of their protective walls she is forced to experience the world on her own or at least she was supposed to until her next door neighbors, the Dixon brother's, decided to intervene. But just as Eve is starting to appreciate the freedom she been given the world ends.



***The Walking dead spin - off. Still a natural story though so you don't need to know the show to know the story because I will introduce characters as if they were new, as well as parts of their story line which I will add onto. I do not own the characters or plot of The Walking Dead or the comic book series, only my characters and story I've built around theirs.

I started to do a trail of kiss up to the back of ear. The tension on shoulders started to break slowly as I kiss each inch of her skin. I'd been so worried about how she is mentally doing since the death of Lori. She hadn't processed much after the little nugget was birthed. She jumped into action immediately after, coming with me to get formula, and didn't stop until we got back to our mattress. Which she didn't sleep much and I followed her out as she let's out what she had been holding all day. I also have been holding back something for the past couple weeks. And I want to be able to tell her, but with everything going on, I'm not sure when it's appropriate time. Hell, the words have never been formed in my mouth. Not even with my brother. So instead of talking verbally, I let myself speak physically. Her body turned to me, giving me a heated kiss. Nora's life has been anything but sunshine and rainbows, but the apocalypse just made it so much harder. What happens when her family joins a group containing an emotionally closed off redneck? This story is a rework of another story I have written. There were many things about that story that I wanted to change, but some of the changes would completely change the story, so here we are. So warning if you read the original Fighting For Our Future, my goal is to make this story similar, but also different. If I kept a character alive it doesn't mean I will in this story. If I had killed them, it doesn't mean they are dead in this story. This is a clean slate. There are Triggers in this story such as Sexual Assault, Self harm, mentions of suicide, abuse, blood and gore, and more. There will be a lot of songs mentioned and most of them will be from present day, meaning this story takes place in present day instead of 2010 or whenever the walking dead is set to start in.
