Caleb never meant to disappear. One moment he was walking home with his friends, the next, the woods swallowed him whole.

No one knows where he's gone, or what's waiting for him in the darkness.

Sarah has been part of the Gifted Program her whole life, trained to control her telekinesis and obey orders. But when Caleb vanishes, she realizes the world is far darker than she's been told. Something alive, something hungry, has claimed him. And it's only the beginning for the end.

As shadows creep closer, visions of a terrifying future invade Caleb's mind, and the line between reality and nightmare begins to blur. To save him, Sarah and Caleb's friend group must step beyond the rules of the program and face a darkness that may be impossible to escape.

Friendships will be tested, secrets will unravel, and survival might not be enough. The shadows are patient, and they're just getting started.
