I heard him as he walked beside me before I shook my head, as a 'no'. "You are the first one," I announced, reaching the night pole before balancing the side of my arm on it along with my temple.
I started at his chest, covered in a black t- shirt. "Why me?" He asked, and I glanced at his lips for a second before looking ahead of me. "Because you are a good boy." I heard his footsteps getting closer to me. "And so are you, Ms. 007." I chuckled at the nickname before asking, "How so?" I closed my eyes, tired and intoxicated. "I saw you helping the other girl from a creep back in the club." He declared.
I opened my half-closed eyes, my head turning to him. "You noticed too much." I declared, making him chuckle as he shrugged his shoulders. "But I am not a good boy as you see me, Ms. 007." Trying to open my eyes, my gaze met him as his deep voice reached me. He was leaning toward my eye level, staring through me.
I could feel the heat rushing through my cold cheeks; his lips were a few inches apart, aligning mine. Blinking at him while staring into his eyes, I gulped. But he didn't waver even a bit. "Are you trying to threaten me?" I asked, my voice stiff yet sore. "Guess." He muttered as I squinted my eyes, trying to read through his eyes that were playfully staring into me, but he was serious.
"No, you are just warning me of the consequences of mistaking you for a good boy..." I muttered as the words came out dimly, but I watched his eyes turn amused the next second. I gazed down at his lips before looking back into his eyes, and noticed his eyes dipping onto my lips before meeting mine again.
"Correct." He declared as I raised my brows, taking pride in myself.
