Break Our Fall

It is August 1968 in the city of Barcelona. Two boys, Miguel and Antonio, first met in middle school and became best friends. Eventually as time progressed, they began to develop feelings for one another: secretly sneaking in playful remarks, touching each other's hands, and giving quick pecks. What initially seemed like things they could possibly get away with simply became more difficult as they grew up. With society's expectations becoming stronger and stronger for these two, Miguel has to face what both of them had ignored but always feared deeply - exposure. These unavoidable forces in their lives begin to put them in a chokehold, haunting and scratching away at their fears and insecurities. It as if these forces are so powerful, they start to manifest physically into dark and terrifying creatures that they must face together. Will Miguel be able to hold on desperately to Antonio with the power of love, or will they become overwhelmed and succumb to these forces?
