Catching Sunrises Chasing Sunsets

You have exactly 6 months to a year to live. I am sorry, but that is all I can do." The doctor said as he approached her with the folder that contained the diagnosis.

It was the big C. The thing that scared her the most and the one thing she knew was coming. She long has since accepted her fate but she didn't think it was going to be this short. Believing the fact she had at least two more years to live. She knew it was cancer, but she thought if she caught it early, she would have been given the chance to live longer.

"I suggest you do the things you want to do before its too late." The doctor said as he continued to look at her, concern written all over his face. She knew she was not the first person he told about this diagnosis nor will she be the last. But she didn't want his pity or his concern so she simply smiled and nodded.

"Okay. Thank you Doctor."

She was going to prove to herself that 6 months to a year was going to be the best moments of her life. She was not going to go down without a fight. She wanted to travel around the world, and this was the opportunity of a lifetime. Hell, she wanted to do what her mother would always tell her.

'Darling, always remember to catch those sunrises while you still can and to chase those sunsets. We are never certain about what comes before or after. What matters most are the moments we created.'
