Spring is just beginning to take hold, and with the first warm days come new meetings and quiet sparks of feeling.
Max is a girl with bright ginger hair, like a daisy - gentle, warm, and full of light, yet carrying the scars of a past where trust was broken.
Lucas - guarded and distant - has his own reasons for keeping people at arm's length, shaped by family problems and unspoken fears.
The story takes place in modern times, among universities, friends, long walks, and ordinary days that slowly turn meaningful.
When their paths cross, a soft light appears between them - fragile, cautious, but real. Surrounded by friends, they learn to laugh, argue, support one another, and trust again.
"Light Between Us" is a story about spring, friendship, first feelings, and hope - about how love can grow after pain, and how even the most closed hearts can learn to open, step by step.

This is during season 5, in filling in the blanks Of what didn't happen. Who we didn't get a reunion with (Dustin, El, Etc) and just things I imagine happening between scenes. Also gonna write the stuff that DID happen in the show too, just saying what I think their internal monologue would be saying. (Specifically Max's.) First two chapters made before the finale. (Warning) mild swearing and medical equipment being used on Max, non-sexual nudity in a medical/caregiving context.
