Following the summer break with his new guardian, twelve year old Harry is returning to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry to begin his second year. But with the bloodwards transferred from his relatives' home significantly weaker, it hasn't been quite the fairytale ending he'd hoped for, and now there's trouble brewing at Hogwarts too. Harry must navigate both paths simultaneously, but the darker forces at play soon find him questioning who he can really trust.
