In the quiet corridors, she sees him with everyone - yet her heart flutters at every small gesture, every glance he doesn't notice. He never looks at her the way she hopes. Never sees her beyond his bestfriend sister, a brotherly figure, never tries... She watches silently, caught between admiration and longing, while he moves through life unaware. She tried to tell her heart to let go, to stop fluttering at him... but it never listened. Every glance, every small gesture, every quiet laugh he shared with the world - it tore her a little more. She whispered, "I can't just... let this go. I never imagined a day without you." Her words carried a fluttering weight, trembling through every beat of her heart. He looked away, jaw tightening, voice low, "I... this wasn't meant to be. I can't... it's too much right now." Yet his eyes betrayed another emotion, something deeper, pooling and raw, while his hand shook as he turned away. He didn't see her. Not really. Not the way she needed. Not yet. And still... her heart whispered his name, carrying a weight she didn't know how to bear. Some love waits. Some love resists. Will he ever notice her... or will her heart have to wait forever?

Valeria didn't rush. She never did. Inez was pinned beneath her, wrist locked overhead, the hold precise and impersonal. Not pain. Control. Inez scoffed anyway. "That's it?" she sneered. "I've had tutors scarier than you." Valeria said nothing. The silence pressed in. "You don't scare me," Inez added, louder. Brattier. "You just-" "Enough." One word. Flat. Final. Valeria lifted Inez's chin with two fingers, detached as a correction. "Look at me," she said coolly. "If you're going to embarrass yourself, do it properly." Inez laughed, brittle. "You think this makes you powerful?" "I don't think," Valeria replied. "I decide." Her gaze never wavered. "You provoke because it's the last control you have." "I don't belong to you," Inez snapped. Valeria leaned in, voice razor-thin. "You are my wife. You belong to consequences." She released her grip. "Say it." "No." Valeria waited. The quiet broke Inez, she hated being ignored. "...I'll behave, I'll be a good girl" Inez muttered. "Specify." Inez swallowed hard. "...I'll be your good girl" Valeria stepped back, already distant. "Good," she said. "Remember why." #1 older women-13th February (FAST PACE BOOK)
