She just stepped out of the parapet, when a soldier asked her name, before she could answer someone from the crowd yelled: "What the hell are you doing here, Coral!?" A male voice approached. Coral, with an innocent smile, replies to the soldier, ignoring the blonde guy who seems very upset. "Coral Targaryen," the soldier looks at her again in disbelief "where you expecting a half scale monster? Yes, I am one of them but prettier. " Then the blonde guy grabbed her by one arm away from everyone and stamped her in the wall. "I'm surprised you recognize me after all this year, Dain," she whispers, trying not to sound awkward. "Coral, Violet is here. If she knows you are here, her mother will find out soon too," he replied, still serious. " If she tries to kill me, then i won't reject her invitation, Commander Sorrengail owns me with her blood," Coral said, pushing Dain away off her, angry. " She thinks just because she can ride a dragon, she can own the Vale and other kingdoms, I will make sure to tell her she is wrong." "You don't know how to knock!" Coral screams, making herself small to cover her body in the hottube. Xaden replies, " First, this is my room, so what the hell are you doing in my place? Second, your aim is so bad. Who do you manage to enter in this squad, Third, this is the males dorm, sunshine!" "No, this is my room. The commander escorts me here!" 2 hours later "What do you mean there are no more rooms available!" Xaden asks the commander, grabbing him by the shoulder. "Sorry, but this year, everyone has a roommate, and there are no more first years dorms where she can go, so you must stay in that room." the commander said, taking off Xaden hands off her shoulder. "But is a male dorm," Xaden scoffed. "And she is a dragon, I think she can manage some teenagers with ego." That was the last thing the commander said before leaving the office.

Quinn Taylor has made a career out of looking calm. On the ice, she's America's favorite kind of pressure-proof-bright smile, steady answers, the skater everyone wants to root for. Off the ice, she's an only child with a perfectionist's brain and a habit of carrying too much alone. The cameras love her. The country expects her. And the one place she can't afford to fall apart is the one place she's dreamed of since she was little. The Olympics. Macklin Celebrini has always made things feel lighter. He was the new kid at a Northern California rink at twelve-Canadian, polite, a little lost-until Quinn decided he was hers to keep. He became her best friend in the cold air and early mornings, the person who could make her laugh mid-breakdown and never ask her to perform for him. Then life did what life does: seasons changed, schedules got brutal, distance widened, and the kind of friendship that felt unbreakable turned into occasional texts and quiet missing. Now they're both back where the world is loudest. At the 2026 Milan-Cortina Winter Olympics, Quinn is chasing the skate of her life for Team USA. Mack is carrying his own weight for Team Canada hockey. When reporters find out they grew up together, the story writes itself-childhood friends reunited, smiles caught on camera, a thousand strangers deciding what they are to each other. The only problem is... the strangers aren't entirely wrong. Between past chapters at a small California rink and present days in the Olympic Village, Quinn and Mack have to figure out what they really meant to each other then-and what they're allowed to be now, with medals on the line and the whole world watching. Because it's one thing to love someone quietly from a distance. It's another to have them show up in your life again and make everything feel possible.
