Hazel Marie has always been independent. From the time her father passed away, the the time when she had to get a job in highschool to help with her mother's illness. She was always on top of things, always filled with pure determination and courage. Although when it came to her abusive and possessive ex, Chris, she wasn't always so brave. But what will happen when she meets August, a sweet gentleman who was hardworking and just as independent as her, the kind of guy her mother hoped she would find. Will she find her voice and stand up to Chris so she can give August a chance? Or will she stay hidden behind his shadows forever?

I wrote this when I was 15 (I think). This was my first time writing anything. It is unedited, and not well thought out, but I hope you enjoy. Karlie and Aug have been together since they were in the 9th grade. They have had ups and downs, they've been through hell and back. Karlie has had to put up with, bitches wanting her man, Aug cheating, and that he's in the drug game. Now that they are grown can this love last? She's a rider no doubt and nothing could ever make her want to leave but Aug will have to change his ways. "girl I think it's best for me to say this. I ain't no good. And ya heart ain't something I should play with so let's get it understood. I ain't tryna ruin your life if anything I'm tryna make it right" -August Alsina ( You Deserve )
