By a miracle, she survives, though that was only the beginning. She enters the too-bright suburban Happy Holly Tree Community, where losing your smile leads to your demise. The worst part? The community is full of human-looking entities with one job: hunt down anyone who slipped into their world.

No exit is in sight. Rose's family may never see her again. Yet, she can't cry. All she can do is smile and put her observation skills to the test.

Everything changes when she bumps into a stranger, losing her smile for a second too long. The stranger, though, doesn't hurt her. Instead, his smile drops, too.

Who is human, and who is not? Is the stranger who introduces himself as "Jimin" the key to escaping, or is he an entity, too?
