Harper I didn't mean to fall for him. He was just a transfer student with sharp eyes and a closed-off smile. Arrogant. Private. Infuriatingly impossible to read. The kind of boy who doesn't exist online. The kind who flinches at cameras. The kind who carries secrets like they're stitched into his skin. I knew better than to get close. Because people like him don't crash into your life by accident. They arrive with consequences. And when the truth finally comes out- When the world decides who he really is- I'll have to choose between the man I fell for and the crown that was always waiting to take him back. Max They sent me here to disappear. No title. No protection. No mistakes allowed. Just a borrowed name and a life I was never meant to touch. Then there was her. Harper Quinn doesn't bow. She doesn't look away. She sees through every defense I've ever built-and doesn't care who she's supposed to see instead. Loving her was never part of the plan. But some things can't be controlled. Not loyalty. Not desire. Not the moment you realize you'd burn a kingdom down before letting it take her from you. I was raised to inherit a crown. I just never expected it to cost me the one thing that felt real. A royal exile. A love that was never meant to exist. And a secret powerful enough to destroy them both.

Valeria didn't rush. She never did. Inez was pinned beneath her, wrist locked overhead, the hold precise and impersonal. Not pain. Control. Inez scoffed anyway. "That's it?" she sneered. "I've had tutors scarier than you." Valeria said nothing. The silence pressed in. "You don't scare me," Inez added, louder. Brattier. "You just-" "Enough." One word. Flat. Final. Valeria lifted Inez's chin with two fingers, detached as a correction. "Look at me," she said coolly. "If you're going to embarrass yourself, do it properly." Inez laughed, brittle. "You think this makes you powerful?" "I don't think," Valeria replied. "I decide." Her gaze never wavered. "You provoke because it's the last control you have." "I don't belong to you," Inez snapped. Valeria leaned in, voice razor-thin. "You are my wife. You belong to consequences." She released her grip. "Say it." "No." Valeria waited. The quiet broke Inez, she hated being ignored. "...I'll behave, I'll be a good girl" Inez muttered. "Specify." Inez swallowed hard. "...I'll be your good girl" Valeria stepped back, already distant. "Good," she said. "Remember why." #1 older women-13th February (FAST PACE BOOK)
