A tale of love, loss, friendship, regret and fear. The mystery of a friend, and the heartbreak of drugs, sex and tears. He's a bad boy, and she's a good girl - but opposites attract right?
Alexandra Hastings has tried her best to fit in, but it's quite hard when you live in a mansion, have a maid, and are set to strict rules. But now, she's 17, and realises that her whole life has been a misery. So, wanting to change, she slowly but surely persuades her mother into letting her go to public college.
There, she meets new friends. They show her that breaking rules is sometimes the best way to have fun, even if you get tangled up with the wrong people. The good thing is, they all have the same interest - music. With Alex, she's never been to a record store before, but when she meets a guy there, she can't help but fall for the problematic him and his brown curly mop of hair.
Defeating the rumours and facing the barriers that lie before her, Alex cares for him, and they fall for each other. Big time.
Will he be a whirlwind? Or will be be everything that she's ever wished for? And will he take her to places that she'd never thought she'd go in her whole lifetime?
"it's all going to work, don't worry Alex"
"but what if it doesn't?"
"You're insane!" she yelled, slamming the door behind her. I instantly whirled around, clutching two cigarettes and a wine bottle. "You can't go around telling people shit like that!"
"Yes, I'm insane! I'm fucking crazy! But everything I do is because of you." I closed the distance between us with just a few steps. Dropping the wine bottle by my feet, which shattered into a million pieces and flooded the white carpet, I placed both of my hands on her cheeks. She was too stunned to move, obviously not expecting that outbreak. Glass protruded from my exposed foot and dug into Andrea's legs but we didn't notice. The stinging pain didn't exist. It was just us, this moment, this feeling- this amazingly, suffocating feeling. It was just us. The cigarette smoke was curling around her ear as I stared at her.
"You make me crazy. But I love being crazy because it's you that makes me that way. You make me absolutely insane, but I love you. So please, just let me love you because I don't know what I'd do without my crazy."
