Two years into the survival of "The Beginning of the End", small-town Hartland has had to fend for itself. With advancing diseases, heightened natural disasters, Hostile animals, EMP blasts, and people turning on each other, only those in rural areas have managed to survive. Amelia set out with the few people she had left to find her family, but ended up losing more than she ever intended to. In this dystopian novel, the plot is driven forward by the characters. Their connections with one another and the memories they share are what drive the life of the story. This is not the final edit of the book, but merely an early release.
