James never thought anything could happen to him. He always believed the conflict in the wizarding world would soon end. He never imagined he'd have to go on prefect patrols with Sirius's little brother. He never thought anyone could hate him so intensely. And he never thought he could hate someone just as much. That he could even feel so much for someone.

But he was wrong.

Something could happen to him, too. In fact, the conflict would very soon escalate into war. Unfortunately, he also became a prefect. And indeed, someone could hate him that much. And he is perfectly capable of hating someone just as much. He is also capable of feeling so much for someone. He never expected that the person he was supposed to avoid would be impossible to ignore.
