Now, a chance encounter at a high-society gala triggers a "glitch" in the system. As the Syndicate moves to "retire" the liability, Dunk and Joong are forced into a desperate race for survival. Along the way, they discover that Joong isn't just a victim-he is the living hard drive for a combat AI that could change the face of warfare.
