Mystery
Ollie Twill and Adelaide Thickets, cousins by chance, and their friends, Sanity Heartstrings and Justin Case intend spending the summer on top of their city, Onetomb, a steampunk wonderland's roofs and throwing firecrackers into Old Man Rustinail's pond, the way it's been every summer since the old school house burned "mysteriously"when a (cough) accidental match was set in the old broiler room. But, They poke their noses in on trouble in the old and abandoned mansion that once belonged to Dan Druff, an old man with a brutal wife and two mistreated daughters, Honey and Dew . But the family has died years ago and the Druff's aren't even a memory. But what if an an ancient diary leaves more clues about the house's past than anyone intends to learn, and it leads to danger, even death- at every turn. The friends must know these cryptic secrets, but at what price? What mysterious secret is buried so deeply in the house, that hundreds of peoples died trying to uncover, and failed many times?

Living by her wits Jane's life is far from normal, she has her one steady fixture in her life, her beloved Dad (he has raised her as his own since her mother's passing), everything else is expendable until one of their cons goes bad; they meet an elderly lady (Bell) one evening at the train station and she makes them an offer too good to be true; as if fate had finally dealt them a good hand but their meeting is not coincidental. They are offered a home, Dad a job and the security they so desire in the quiet little seaside town of Whitstable, but not all is as it seems. Bell is shadowed by her loyal boys (the feral boys) the menacing youths riding around on their bikes with hoods up, lurking in the shadows. They are actually Deaths' Hounds of Hell that do Bells' bidding and are under strict instructions to watch over Jane. Jane is overwhelmed with premonitions, nightmares and flashbacks of her mothers' passing which are triggered by her arriving in Whitstable. She knows there is more than meets the eye when it comes to Bell. Bell is elusive about her life and her past, whilst still trying to bring Jane closer in. She is an enigma, charismatic yet harsh, her presence is felt by the community but feared by the church. Bell is a force to be reckoned with, she has the ability to bring grown men to their knees and pull out your darkest secrets, as if looking into your very soul. Why was she so desperate to bring Jane back to Whitstable ? What is she hiding ? #Thecursedlineofbellofwhitstable Awards 1st place in Coalition 2020 awards 3rd place in Privus awards 2020 3rd place sparkle awards 2022
