POPILO

The book is about a magical forest called popilo, a place that does not exist on any maps. People always believed it was only a myth...but it was not.

The main character is a young man named Ryan going to college, the son of a natural scientist who is his father and is around fifty years old but looks much younger. His father has spent his entire life trying to find Popilo. Ryan, on the other hand, begins to dream about the forest night after night, and when he wakes up, he follows the same path in real life. Suddenly, he manages to cross an invisible boundary and finds himself inside the magical forest and he turns to a blue creature but at the same time human.

Because if someone steps a foot in this place they will become like the others...

In Popilo, he meets a girl who is both human and a creature like he was but she knew right away he was human by the smell and everyone else would knew. She initially wants to attack him because she dislikes humans. However, a mysterious wild cat appears and protects him. The girl then goes to a sacred giant tree its...the heart of Popilo where her people live, and Ryan follows her inside. The creatures deeply hate humans because they believe humans destroy nature.

The girl's parents are the leaders of the people, and her brother is a highly respected warrior who strongly dislikes Ryan, even after the people eventually allow him to stay and even become one of them.

The girl teaches Ryan their traditions how they live in balance with the forest, how to use a bow, how to capture dragons, and how to respect all life in nature. Over time, he changes both on the inside and on the outside. After a year, he is accepted as one of their people.
