In the parallel world of Earth Zero, humanity's origin diverged from our own. Here, Adam and Eve partook not of the Apple of Wisdom, but of the forbidden Apple of Mana, bequeathing to their descendants not mere knowledge, but the innate potential for magic.

For millennia, this magic flourished within the bounds of the natural order. Then, in the medieval era, a mad European king, consumed by a thirst for eternal life, committed an unspeakable atrocity. Heeding no counsel-not even the desperate warnings of his own High Priest-he sacrificed a million souls in a ritual based on fragmented, blasphemous lore.

The ritual did not fail. It succeeded catastrophically.
The incomplete spell tore at the fabric of reality itself. The geography of the world was violently reshuffled, continents cracking and merging like pieces of a shattered plate. From these wounds poured forth demons and nightmare creatures, forever altering the essence of life. This cataclysm, known as The Genesis, rendered the planet utterly unrecognizable. The old maps were now lies; the only constants were magic, ruin, and struggle.
