"You're absolutely right," Yuvaan said coldly.

Vani frowned. "What do you mean?"

"You will become the surrogate for my child," Yuvaan stated flatly.

Vani laughed bitterly. "In your dreams, Mr. Raichand. Now let me go."

Yuvaan's eyes hardened. "You have two choices. Either you become the surrogate for my child, or I will make sure you never get a job in this state-or anywhere in India. I'm not asking for a favor," he said, stepping closer. "I'm telling you. You are going to carry my child."

"I don't care," Vani shot back. "I would rather die of hunger than become a surrogate-especially for your child."

She yanked her hand free and turned to leave.

"What about your sister?" Yuvaan asked calmly.

Vani froze.

Silence filled the room as she stood there, her breath uneven. Two minutes passed-two minutes of fear, helplessness, and painful thoughts-before she turned back.

Walking up to him, she met his gaze. "Fine," she said quietly. "I'll be your surrogate. But only on my conditions."

A slow smirk curved Yuvaan's lips.
"Alright," he replied. "I'll have the
contract prepared."
