In the kingdom of Caelore, peace has always reigned. Princess Seraphina was raised for the crown, trained in diplomacy, bound to prophecy, and watched by a court that believes the greatest dangers come from failed marriages. No one speaks of the older threat anymore, the one buried in history. Until it begins to stir. When a mysterious knight named Lucien is summoned to investigate, Seraphina's carefully ordered life begins to fracture. Lucien is skilled, guarded, and marked by battles. He was never meant to cross paths with a princess, yet fate places them together as whispers of an old threat emerge. The fragile balance of Caelore is tested, and the lives Seraphina and Lucien have tried to keep separate become impossible to untangle. Bound by duty, prophecy, and a growing connection neither was meant to pursue, they are faced with a choice that will shape more than their own futures. Some paths lead back to safety. Others demand sacrifice. Not all threats can be outrun, or buried forever. What The Willow Knew is a medieval fantasy romance about fate, sacrifice, and a love tested not by courtly rules but by an ancient terror that refuses to remain silent.
