The sea gives.
And the sea takes.
Aerya is a true Metkayina - always has been, and always will be.
She knows the rules of the sea, especially as she prepares to become the next Tsahìk.
Her future is already written... or so she believes.
But everything begins to shift when the newcomers from the Omatikaya arrive.
Neteyam is a forest-born warrior, steady and brave, and somehow he catches the attention of Aerya - the Olo'eyktan's daughter, who knows better than to let her heart wander.
As feelings begin to grow, Neteyam only tries harder to reach her, while Aerya keeps pushing him away, afraid of what loving him would cost.
