A story of of unexpected love between an Irish princess and Nordic viking. When Ragnar Lothbrok and his son Ivar The Boneless come to Wessex, they are separated, Lir who was taken from Dublin along with her younger sister Aleena when they were children, is a slave in Wessex and is the one keeping Ivar comfortable. Something slowly begins to form when Ivar promises to take Lir and Aleena out of Wessex when he returns home and sets them free. Lir's feelings for Ivar grow stronger and soon, she is the woman by his side. She follows him to Wessex and Northumbria then back to her homeland where He becomes king after making her the queen she should have always been.
