A Drowning Hymn (BNHA)

They say if you hear a siren, you're already lost.

Her voice slips through the fog, soft as a secret.
"Come closer," she sings.

He stops at the edge of the deck.
"Are you trying to kill me?"

A pause. Then a smile in the dark.
"No," she says. "I'm trying to see if you'll jump."

The sea waits.

When a curious siren, bound to the sea, is unwillingly tangled with a class that draws trouble like a tide.

"Your emergency contact is listed as 'The Ocean'?"

"Yeah, she's very supportive. Never judges me. Unlike some people."
