After a catastrophic population collapse, the government enforces the Triad Stability Act, requiring every adult to exist within a monitored three-person unit designed for reproduction and control. Any Triad that deviates-three males or three females-vanishes. Officially, they went on vacation. In truth, they are quietly eliminated.
