"So, your eyes always change colors?"

"Yes."

"Fascinating. Do you know what causes your eyes to change?"

"No."

"Would you like to find out?"

I wake with a jolt. It is the third time in a row I have had that dream. I'm sitting in a cold hospital room with a faceless man somehow breathing onto my face. The man always asks the same questions and I always give the same answers. But each night I get further and further into the dream. Tonight I was given a chance to figure out why I'm the way I am. Unfortunately the world has other plans.
