Joe was hyper aware that everyone knew him as "Steve Harrington", and as much as that character had given him absolutely everything, he felt a pang of regret whenever he heard someone call his name from across the street, reaching for their phone before they had even said hello.
He wanted to be "Just Joe".
She, Iva Wilder, was anything but "known". A friend who would do absolutely anything for the people she cares about, a ride at 2am, a couch to crash on when things were tough. Iva always felt she was stuck in time, frozen still. Coming from a family with people who were very successful, she felt she didn't have the courage to do what she truly wanted, what her life calling was.
When the two find each other in wraths of all the unknown, they find that sometimes things are just, that simple.
