Long ago, before humanity became the world it is today, there existed an age untouched by technology or luxury. It was a peaceful era, where humans lived as one-unseparated by language, race, or desire.

It was a time of happiness.

But it was also an age shadowed by fear.

Creatures roamed the land, hunting any human unfortunate enough to cross their path. These beings were not always monsters. Once, they were human-devoted worshippers of the moon, who shaped their lives around its glow.

Then the moon betrayed them.

Cursed by its power, their ordinary lives were twisted into something monstrous and unforgiving. In her ambition, the Moon Goddess sought to unite man and wolf into a perfect being. Instead, her failure gave birth to a beast-one that tore through the land and shattered the peace of the world.

From this mistake began a nightmare.

And from that nightmare emerged a fate destined to fall upon Luna-the pure and innocent child of the forest.

Conrad Rosser is a Beta's daughter in a society where each rank is matched within itself. Werewolves are creatures of habit. They stick to what they know, and they don't venture from it very often - why would they? Fate takes the guesswork out of it all, and Conrad is okay with that; until it shoves her with an Alpha who's none too happy about breaking tradition.
