The main character is a raven-haired woman named Rook. She is an interesting girl, not fond of the company of others and always seeking knowledge. She is on a quest n search of someone she needs in order to return home. But she wants to find a way out of this quest and fast. Will she be able to accomplish her goal?

For the last nine years, Raven had thought her best friend's younger brother absolutely hated her. But, now that she's working under him at Wayne Industries, she learned that Damian has had a crush on her since the day he met her. He's learning how to trust her, and puts her on a special project, determined to find out who is funneling money out of Wayne Industries and into a local crime organization in Gotham. But, this brings Raven even closer to him, and without really meaning to, Damian and Raven start a purely physical relationship. He catches feelings too fast, and Raven is left trying to understand what their relationship really is. It's the last thing she needs while they're both trying to figure out who is stealing money from Wayne Industries. Following my first book 'Hope' which can be found on my profile. This story is not only from Raven's point of view but also Damian's since this is more or less about him. Yes there is still romance between the two and possibly more. Damian is struggling with his past and it's starting to haunt him. She is an orphan and grew up in a Home for Magical Children on Mage Island, floating in the middle of the Pacific. Under constant watch and scrutiny from the Guild, Claire now finds herself working side by side with a Black, the very family that was breed to become mage assassins, killing thousands of her people. The fact that the Black is also a handsome man does not help Claire's case at all. Raven has nothing to do with his family and yet is hostile to Claire upon finding out she's a mage. He worked as a detective to make sure everyone had equal justice but when he got his new partner Claire his world is thrown upside down. Not only is she a mage whom he silently despises but she's also the most beautiful woman he's ever laid eyes on. As they work together and find a rocky truce between themselves they travel the city solving crimes with a magical association. Raven accepts Claire without cause while Claire lays her life down for the man who stole her heart. As they fall for one another a dark figure lerks in the shadows, plotting something sinister for our mage Claire. Could this dark figure perhaps have something to do with Claire's unclear past?
