The year is 2283, set two years after the events of Fallout: New Vegas and four years before Fallout 4. In the city that never sleeps, there are three groups hunting for an artifact that can rebuild or destroy the city for good: Maxson's Brotherhood of Steel, the aristocratic Rockefeller Society, and the merit-based republic, the Yorker Union.
When Jesse Rainn-Jones, a former West-Tek researcher, finds herself in a new world shaped by conflict, greed, and suffering, she's thrown into a quest to retrieve this artifact. However, she woke up without any memories of the past or any idea about who she is. Her encounters with the Empire State's major players will lead her down roads she doesn't want to take and uncover a dangerous secret that's deeply connected to a life long forgotten.
Set in a dystopian, post apocalyptic New York City, Fallout: Empire State focuses on seeking redemption from inaction, morality, and empathy through the blitz, blood, and chaos of one of Bethesda's most iconic franchises.
