When The Noise Stops ~ Henry Creel

Henry Creel survives the battle, but surviving comes at a cost. With the mind flayer dead, his powers fade, leaving him locked inside the lab that ruined him. This time, he has no voice guiding him, no powers to use as an escape. Only memories.

Valerie, Dr. Brenner's daughter, is forced to work as his psychiatric nurse. She's meant to keep her distance and remember his past; but proximity blurs lines, and Henry has never been one to follow the rules.

What starts professional observation quickly turns into something dangerous as Henry starts to see Valerie, not as a part of the lab, but as someone who understands him. Someone who listens to him, someone he wants. He begins to see her in a way no one else ever has.

And in a place that's meant to to use and destroy him, she may be the one thing he can't let go of.

"You're the only thing that makes sense to me," Henry says quietly, "the only thing that feels real."
