There's a serial killer on the loose.

Fifteen years ago, I witnessed a murder, or what was left of it.

The gurgle of blood.
The screeching sounds.
The choking, as life was slowly torn from a body.

Hidden in the dark, I listened as everything ended. Nothing else mattered. I was simply in the wrong place at the wrong time. And when it was over, only one thing was missing from him.

His eyes.

Fifteen years later, the world knows me as the greatest forensic doctor of my time. I dissect the dead for a living. I speak for those who no longer can. I believed the past was buried, until midnight proved me wrong.

At 11:52 p.m., a call came in.

A Jane Doe had been found at the front of my office.
Her eyes were gone.
And only one message was left behind.
