Elodie Seawright is a Scraper, a lowly outcast tasked with scrubbing the magical ink from the skin of the dead. As a "Null," she is invisible to magic and forgotten by history. But when Elodie touches the body of a murdered Archivist, she discovers a secret the High Scribes have spent centuries trying to redact: The Golden Stylus. Unlike the dreaded Red Ink used by the Scribes to delete their enemies, the Stylus possesses the power to restore what was erased.

Now, hunted by the "Correctors," assassins who can edit the speed of a heart or the sharpness of a blade, Elodie must flee into the Unwritten Lands.

To save a world that is literally running out of pages, Elodie must decide if she is willing to become the ultimate eraser, even if it means she's the one part of the story that can never be told.
