Fix-it without time travel

You all know the typical fix-it time travel stories where Naruto either wins or loses against Madara, sacrificing everyone and everything in the process. Kurama or the sage of the six paths decided to send him back in time to prevent the fourth great ninja war from happening. Sometimes even Madara tags along as the second survivor.

Well, in this story it is not the case. You can bring dead people from the past into the present, but you cannot send living people into the past. Madara and Naruto have been fighting for months, perhaps even years, destroying each other's troops and killing everything living. In the end, there is nothing to fight for and they have to face consequences.

AN: First thing first: I do not own Naruto. If I would, Naruto would have a little more common sense and, more importantly, his god damn hair would not look like whatever that is in Boruto. Then, there will not be any aliens like the Otsutsuki clan. On second thought, maybe I'll add them later on, but I don't know yet. And lastly, Naruto will be a little more smarter.
