The Case He Couldn't Touch

When PC Bevan is called into his sergeant's office on an ordinary Tuesday morning, he expects routine. Instead, he learns his twelve-year-old daughter has vanished overnight. With the police bound by procedure and forty-eight hours of forced inaction, Bevan is ordered to stay away from the case - and to do nothing.
