"I don't understand this feeling." Lucy sniffles. "I'm not supposed to feel human emotions."
"You're not the only one." I sigh, everything about us is confusing. How could I help when I can't even describe what I am feeling? I'm corrupting an actual angel.
"Natsu, my heart races when I'm around you, my head spins, I stutter, my face heats up. I-i feel warm and all I want is to be around you." She cries, trying to grasp onto a solid breath.
My breath hitches and I swallow, my Adam's apple bobbing. "Lucy." She's saying all the things I've been dying to hear her say. Every little word repeats over in my head. Lucy has feelings for me. "Don't Natsu. Don't you get it?" she asks between quiet sobs, "I'm not supposed to feel my heart race. You make me human." Her tone softens as she reaches for my hand. placing it over her beating heart. "This feeling between us? Tell me you feel it too." Her honey glazed eyes meet mine, and I pull her into me, embracing her small figure.
Her face is glazed over with a blush and drying tears. "I've already told you what happens when you are assigned an angel." She sniffles her voice slightly laced with humor. "I will be punished."
"Screw your laws." I whisper, no longer being able to contain myself. I can't help but enclose her lips with mine.
Natsu Dragneel, a major person in the underground arms deals of Magnolia and Dragon Slayer, tries to alter fate after attempting to trigger his curse. Thousands of years ago a prophecy was placed on the Dragneel's, if one of them loses their soul it would inevitably end the human race. To prevent the curse from unleashing its reign, the god's send their very best to keep the young Dragon Slayer on the right path.
