It's 1989, and nothing stays buried in Harbour Point. Every summer, the wealthiest families in the country retreat to Harbour Point, a secluded coastal enclave where the rules are different and the past is easy to outrun. For seventeen-year-old Chloe Whitmore, Harbour Point has always been a place of freedom; late nights on the water, sprawling houses on the bluffs, and a version of life untouched by the expectations waiting back home, surrounded by a group of teens who treat the town like their personal playground. But this summer is different. Her family arrives fractured by a year no one will explain. Her mother is distant and medicated. Her father, once flawless in Chloe's eyes, insists everything is fine. Her twin is as restless and reckless as ever, and her older brother, home from college, has missed the quiet unraveling entirely. As parties blur into one another and old friendships resurface, Chloe begins to notice what Harbour Point is built on: unspoken agreements, inherited power, and secrets everyone knows but no one names. When she stumbles onto a truth that threatens her family's perfect image, Chloe is forced to reckon with the cost of silence, and who it protects. Anchored by a forbidden romance with a local boy who exists outside Harbour Point's illusions, Chloe must decide what kind of future she wants: one that preserves appearances, or one that demands the truth.
