Orphaned at five, torn from her home and bloodline, Kirieya finds refuge among the Metkayina, raised beneath the watchful eyes of Olo'eyktan Tonowari and Tsahìk Ronal. The sea becomes her sanctuary, silence her armor.

When the Sully family arrives seeking uturu, Kirieya is tasked alongside Tsireya and Aonung to guide the newcomers in the ways of water. Among them is Neteyam-strong, kind, and dangerously persistent.

As war looms and the sky people return, walls begin to crack, hearts begin to tether, and the space between loss and love grows thinner than the ocean's surface.
