Two males in the Demonslayer Corps seemingly were opposites. One man named Tomioka Giyuu, the Water Hashira, is a calm, feminine, quiet, and introverted man. The other, Shinazugawa Sanemi, the Wind Hashira, is rough, masculine, rude, and tough.

Shinazugawa Sanemi always thought Giyuu hated him and thought Giyuu saw himself as better than the rest of the other eight Hashira. Sanemi always hated Giyuu for something he thought. Later he finds out that isn't true.

Tomioka Giyuu always thought Shinazugawa hated him. Giyuu could relate to that. He hated himself too. He always thought, "Why am I so useless?" He just wanted to be friends with him, why did Shinazugawa hate that so much? Why did he hate... Everything...?

Something begins to happen... The floor falls beneath the hashira's feet. A biwa sound is heard along with others' gasps. Is it a demon hideout?
