Loraine "Rainie" Underwood has had a rough go in life. She doesn't have much of a support system since losing her mom right after she turned eighteen, and her fiance Dan left her without a trace after cleaning out their shared bank account. She is left drowning in financial debt without so much as a proverbial life jacket. After receiving notice of potential eviction, Rainie decides to meet the mysterious woman that reaches out requesting her to provide care for "a good friend." This friend of whom she has not even the slightest information. What lies before her after she accepts the position turns her life upside down in ways she couldn't even dream of. The man she has been hired to care for goes from a slightly eccentric gentleman with dementia to a person she becomes more than a little terrified of.
