This story follows their relationship in fragments and moments: successful missions, casual dominance mistaken for indifference, affection hidden in plain sight, and the unspoken rule that Dazai survives because Ranpo is paying attention. As the Agency watches them bicker, lean, and exist a little too comfortably together, Ranpo quietly proves that control doesn't look like force-and love doesn't need permission to be firm.
