Zandik finds himself lost for the first time since his expulsion from the Akademiya, trapped in his own broken body. It isn't until an odd young woman nurses him back to health when he realizes he's been sent to the past. Being the scholar that he is, he struggles against his recovery at first, unable to research or dissect his savior. Bearing the burden of being a healer in a large city while the Archon War rages on, Ayu spends every hour of her day overworked and underappreciated.
